Question: My 5 year old daughter has a quarter sized bald spot on the back of her head that literally appeared out of nowhere. I immediately looked up alopecia. The doctor prescribed triamcinolone acetonide cream, but I didn't read anything about this in the alopecia information. Is this going to help her hair grow back? Or just get rid of a possible fungus.
Answer: the cream is for a fungal infection, possibly ringworm?
