 | My hubby has psoriasis, does anyone know anything to relief his suffering? |

Question: He has had this for years, what is wierd it went away, or something didn't bother him that much. But came back with a vengence, no significant change in soap or anything. Is there anything out there besides the sun that helps subside the itching and flaking??
Answer: Have him wash with Neutrogena T-Gel shampoo - everywhere he has the psoriasis. The tar content in it helps with the itching and flaking. He really ought to go to the dermatologist to get a steroid cream, but you can also try over the counter Hydrocortizone 1%. Sun is good for psoriasis is SMALL amounts. A sunburn will only increase the problem. Sometimes there is an infection involved and a dermatologist may need to put your husband on antibiotics for a week as well as the creams. Please encourage him to go. DON'T go to a regular doc, see the dermatologist. The first person's suggestion about diet is key too
