 | What's the best treatment for a very itchy scalp with hair extensions? |

Question: Since I have had them, my scalp itches unbearably. I can't use Head and Shoulders as that apparently loosens the bond. Any ideas? Help, before I tear them out!!
Answer: It depends how long you've had them for. Your scalp can freak out for the first week or so as the hairs are all pulled together and the hair follicles have extra weight on them, so you have to allow it to settle anyway. After that, you could try using neutragena T-Gel, I used this, I'm not too sure how it technically reacts with the bonds, but it did help my scalp and I didn't lose any extensions.Or you could try bathing you head in very cool water as this will be soothing. At night, plait your hair as this keeps the bonds from getting frizzy on your scalp and will stop there being any extra stress on your head. And one last thing you can try if you extensions are a few weeks old, is to trim the roots off the dead hair that can't naturally shed. These can tickle and irritate your scalp. Get a friend to do this or you might just end up looking odd as you cut chunks in your hair!
