Question: i have been to the doctor several times for a dry patch on my ankle....several years ago i had surgery to remove a rock imbeded in my ankle(fell off bike).a few years later i developed this dry patch.it itches like crazy after taking a shower.i have tried everthing.the doctors keep tellin me it's psoriasis but i don't see it anywhere else on my body just on my ankle.i don't know if it could be eczema either.
Answer: Possibly it may be neurodermatitis, it often presents itself as a solitary patch of dry skin that itches, and it commonly occurs on the ankle. They treat it with cortisone. Try seeing a dermatologist.
