Facial Seborrheic Dermatitis?

Question: I've had seborrheic dermatitis around my nose, cheeks, and forehead for about 4 years. It used to be only in the winter, but now it is year-round. I think it started out as dandruff when I was around 8, and now I am 17 years old. I have acne in the exact same areas, making it difficult to use moisturizer to smooth the scaly skin. I have tried 1% hydrocortisone cream, dandruff shampoos to the face, tea tree oil, aloe vera, and over-the-counter lotions for contact dermatitis. I know that seborrhea is caused by a fungus. This may be TMI, but I am also prone to yeast infections. How can I get rid of the seborrhea? How can I get all the nasty fungus out of my body. I'm so embarrassed going to school every day with flaky skin.

Answer: You may try washing your face and hair every 3-4 days with something like Head-and-Shoulders or Selsin Blue (spelling?). Selsin Blue may be best.
